Stand by for Updates!

I returned to work today after taking a long weekend. Burning the candle at both ends had begun to take its toll - work hadn't been fun in days, and even my home life was feeling rushed and unproductive. After a conversation with my manager I opted for a long weekend, and my wife and I made a few plans that would easily fit within our four day stretch.

This morning a few of my co-workers asked about my time off, and I realized that Susan and I actually accomplished LESS in four days that we usually do in two. Now we both had planned this to be a mini-vacation, but I was amazed at how much of our productive time I let slip away this weekend. I thought that abdicating my responsibilities would make me feel better about things, but the opposite was true.

Hmmm. Could it be the Peter Pan in me was finally growing up after all?

Nah ... have at thee, Captain Hook!
